Own Your 24

There’s 24 hours in a day and 7 days in a week which equal a whopping 168 total hours. Of those hours, lets take away 8 hours a day, say for sleeping, which leaves us with a total of 112 hours to CHOOSE how we spend it.

Alright, alright, enough with the math, the point is that we have over 100 hours a week to spend working, parenting, living, relaxing, exercising, cleaning, traveling, cooking, connecting, you get the idea. Time is precious and what is here today may not be the same tomorrow.  I have always been of the mindset that if I was going to spend so much of my time out of a day working, I better not settle for something that just gets me a paycheck. I knew from a very young age that I have to love what I am doing with a fierce passion, a drive & motivation to help others; especially because so many of the hours in my day would be work – related, money doesn’t grow on trees, and I have some pretty big goals!

Is it true that sometimes you have a season where you have to do things as an adult that you wouldn’t necessarily choose to do unless you absolutely had to — absolutely. Do we have to make choices to get us to the next chapter or level or though a transitional period, for sure. But that’s just it, those are stepping stones to create a better life, a life of abundance, a life that you can show up in every day as the best version of yourself for you and the people who surround and matter the most to you in life.

If you are not happy where you are, change IS possible. If you feel like your 40 hour work week, your 9 – 5, working for someone else who you feel is less appreciative of your time just isn’t fulfilling for you, you can have a better 24. We as humans are moveable, teachable, mold-able and adapt to change quite easily. We are not a tree with our roots planted. Have a pep talk with yourself, get real and be open to what your heart & little voice may be whispering. 😉 And then…

make the change one step at a time!
